South African actor Wandile Molebatsi is known for playing the role of Duma from the etv soapie Scandal. In the soapie, Duma is the son of a well-known thug called Mamba (Simo Magwaza), the family’s black sheep and did not see eye to eye with his father for the longest time. He did odd jobs for a living, and even though he sought approval from his father, he lived with a grateful heart that his father’s right-hand man Gorbachev (Khulu Skenjana) took on the fatherly role in his life.
His role as Duma in Scandal
With two sisters to protect from his father, Duma always found a way to try and talk Mamba into doing the right thing. This came with supporting his other sister to run for community Counsellor against their father, which further angered Mamba instead of softening his heart. Duma was yet to find out the truth of his birth when he later found out that Gorbachev was his biological father, and Mamba had no idea his friend sneaked behind his back with his late wife. After the two old friends destroy each other, Duma is left to take care of his younger sisters alone, and lets go of his daddy issues.
He left the show when the Kubeka family was introduced, and the showrunners moved the storyline from his family. After that, his character or that of the people who were part of Mamba’s family have not been heard from since. This has made his fans wonder what else he is up to now since he left the show, and we are glad to say that the actor has been active in another branch of the acting industry and thriving at it.

The talented actor has had a long career as a Television personality since he started as a KTV kid as a presenter. He then led a successful career as an actor in soapies and movies for many productions. As he enjoyed his acting career, Wandile formed a company named Coal Stove Pictures, a film and television production company based in Johannesburg.
Wandile Molebatsi is the Executive producer at that company which is the brain behind films like What about the boys, The Deal, Silverton Siege and many more. He likes working with some of his former Scandal castmates like Botlhale Boikanyo, Dr Jerry Mofokeng and others. His social media presence has also helped his fans keep up with his everyday life.
