South African actor Kagiso Rathebe brought ladies’ wildest dreams and biggest fears in relationships with his character in Scandal. It has been a minute since he was last seen in the soapie playing his character since he was sent to jail. Many fans wonder where Kagiso Rathebe disappeared and what other projects he has worked on since leaving Scandal.
Kagiso Rathebe’s role as Amo in Scandal
Rathebe brought to life the character of Amo, a photographer who worked for NFH and Izigagaba. Amo was the dream of almost every woman when he first joined the team, and everyone wanted a piece of him, but he had eyes for Hlengiwe alone. Just as their relationship was severe, Amo started to falter in his step and cheated on his girlfriend with Dintle, their friend.
His world, however, fell apart before his eye when Hlengiwe started having feelings for a new doctor in town. She tried breaking up with Amo, but he would not take no for an answer which ended up with him stalking his ex. When he was finally caught, he held her hostage with Dintle, who came snooping days later and tried to kill them both. Amo was arrested and taken to prison, setting the ladies free, and that was the last of him seen on Scandal.
Where is Kagiso Rathebe now?
The actor’s journey as Amo from Scandal may have stopped, but the actor is still active as an entertainer. When he left Scandal, Kagiso was working in another television production where he played the role of a ninja. Kagiso was also part of the cast of Entangled, where he played Reggie’s love interest. However, after that, the actor has not been in other productions, nor has he shared his work with his fans on social media.
Before Kagiso was part of the cast of Scandal, he had been in other productions where he made a name for himself. He was even in an International show called Noughts and Crosses, where he played a toyboy. He also had roles in Generations The Legacy and Igazi. Rathebe also doubles up as a writer and model, which he has been doing since he joined the entertainment industry.
