Masoja Msiza
He has fast become one of South Africa’s finest. It’s so surprising that the award-winning actor has no educational background that is related to acting.
Msiza is a celebrated South African actor who plays Nkunzi on South Africa’s most-watched soapie Uzalo. After finishing high school, Masoja went to work on a mine. Later he was dismissed for attending a protest. It was then that he started following his acting dreams.
Nompilo Maphumulo
Failed to further her studies after matric. She worked as a waitress and later as a telesales agent. Later enrolled on a community project that aids the youth in using their natural talents to create employment.
Since then she has never stopped. The vivacious actress is best known for her on-screen character as Nosipho on Uzalo.
Menzi Ngubane
His sudden death made all sorts of headlines but his legacy will forever be cherished not only in Mzansi but the world at large. The popular actor only went to Senaone Secondary after completing school he ventured into acting. A few years the rest was history. Best remembered as Subusiso ‘Ngamla’ Dlomo on Generations.
Thembi Seete
Thembi started singing at a very young age and was part of the Kwaito super group Boom Shaka from 1994-2000. Her thrust into the limelight came because of her undeniable talent as both singer and actor.
Nelisa Mchunu
Studied Media Studies at the University of Witwatersrand. But had to drop out because her parents couldn’t afford to foot her bills. Best known as Fikile on the popular SABC1 hit soapie Uzalo.
Charlize Theron
The celebrated star actress dumped his enrollment at the National School Of The Arts for a Hollywood switch. The veteran actress has featured in a number of award-winning movies such as Snow White and Fast and Furious.

Baby Cele Maloka
However; in her earlier days, Cele was part of a number of stage productions and Tv roles. She was active and good. She only needed matric to make it big in the entertainment industry.
