In Pictures: The expensive life of Andile Nebulane ‘Malinga’ from Generations The Legacy.
Andile Nebulane is a South African actor and events coordinator currently playing the role of Detective Daluxolo “Pele” Malinga on Generations The Legacy. Before joining Generations The Legacy Cast in May 2018, Andile frequented our small screen when he played the role of Jonga on iGazi.
Detective Malinga role reflects a law enforcing agent who fights hard to remove drug dealers and money launders out of the streets. Like any other South African man, he deals with relationship issues and, to date, never had a stable relationship due to his over-commitment to work.
Onset Malinga is often haunted by thoughts of an estranged ex-girlfriend Tina who left him due to his over-commitment to his work and tried to move on with Palesa Matema – the role of actress Busisiwe Xaba, a relationship that never passed the test of time. Currently, he nearly traded his detective job to a boring desk role to save his relationship with the business director and mother of one Ayanda Majola- the role played by Samela Tyelbooi.
From playing cat and mouse with drug pins and human organ traders Jack Mabaso, Kumkani Phakade on Generations, Detective Malinga “Andile Nebulane” once ran into trouble with law enforcing officers life in real life. In 2018 he was arrested and tortured after being wrongfully profiled as a drug dealer; he sustained deep cuts from the ordeal.
In real life, Andile Nebulane is a happily married father of one and a lover of expensive life and the luxuries that come with popularity and riches.
He trained and graduated with a Degree in Theatre and Live Performance from the University of Cape Town drama school and AFDA.
