No doubt Uzalo has fast become Mzansi fav soapie. The SABC1 drama series has been the most-watched drama series in Mzansi, with a viewership of more than 9.6 million. We can all agree its exciting storyline and the starstudded cast have made it outstanding for small screens.
The drama is set in KwaMashu and stars some of Mzansi’s finest, including Masoja Msiza as Nkunzi Mhlongo, Menzi Biyela as Pastor Gwala and Baby Cele as Maloka Gabisile Khumalo.

She was the face of Uzalo but shocked Mzansi when she announced her exit from the drama series. In the mix of things, she dumped the soapie over salary woes. However, rumour has it that she was fired after showrunners heard that she had bagged a gig on DiepCity.
TK’ Dlamini as Mastermind
He had the plug, and he was one of the most followed star actors on Uzalo. However, in the mix of things, Ntokozo ‘TK’ Dlamini, who played the on-screen character of Mastermind, was axed.

Rumour has it that the seasoned actor was fired for bad behaviour. According to sources, he always came late to work and was always bossy.
Nay Maps as Mxolisi Mdletshe
Mxolisi was shown the exit door just at the end of season four. Reasons behind his exit are yet known, but the rumour mill has it that he was fired for lack of professionalism. In the wake of these allegations, the showrunners revealed that his character was killed because of the change in the storyline.

She was fired for her poor acting skills and arrogance. She left the drama series in the wake of her fallout with showrunners. However, her exit saw her leaving KwaMashu for a new life.
Siyabonga Shibe as Qhabanga
However, he was fired after some contract woes, and the seasoned actor wanted a pay rise which the showrunners couldn’t afford. In the wake of his exit, he rubbished Uzalo return after Gabisile rejoined the drama series after exiting it at the same time with Qhabanga.
