Zola Nombona rose to fame when she landed the role of the streetwise teenager Shado in intersexions back in 2013. Since then, the talented actress has been a well-known face in the entertainment industry with several previous works to back it up. However, when Zola played the character of a teen, she was in her early twenties, but people kept believing she was younger than her actual age.
Zola Nombona took to Instagram to celebrate her birthday, and her fans were shocked to learn her actual age. The actress is turning 30years of age and looks younger than her actual age. Her flawless beauty and looks make it easy to fool people into thinking she is younger. In 2013 when Zola was 21, she brought to life the character of a 17-year-old girl while playing her role on Intersexions.
The actress was born in Mthatha but has moved to Johannesburg to pursue her studies and career. Zola started following the drama and acting when she was only in High School at Victoria Girls High. Later on, at the tertiary level, she specialised in Dramatic Arts at the University of Witswatersrand. Her debut role is also her most famous role in Intersexions.

Zola Nombona went on to land roles where she played against the most influential actors in the industry. Her most significant roles were in drama series like Generations, Sokhulu and Partners, Thandeka’s diary, Z’bondiwe and many others. Nombona was recently featured as part of the main cast of a hit Valentine’s movie called No Love lost, where she played with Hope Mbhele. Her recent Telenovela role is in Lockdown playing Monde.
Besides acting, the 30-year-old also doubles up as a musician. She is known for I like it a DJ Active song featured with Emza and Mpumi. A few months ago, the actress also announced that she had joined the Savannah family as a brand ambassador for the premium cider.
