Actress Noxolo Mathula plays the role of Police Officer Lily Dongwe on Uzalo, SABC 1 most-watched soapie and fellow actor Nkanyiso Makhanya, who plays Njeza, sparks dating rumours after a weekend beach outing.
Noxolo Mathula posted weekend images on social media donning a stunning blue beach outfit to the awe of Uzalo fans. Despite the environment looking like a public gathering, social media detectives dug deeper and realized Njeza was behind the camera sparking dating rumours.
Onscreen, the pair lives together as cousins with Nonka, their aunt MaDongwe. As a policewoman, Lily is at times forced to be compromised to cover up for Njeza.
Njeza is currently playing a Gender-Based Violence storyline where he is in an abusive relationship with Nosipho. His family disapproves of their relationship, who believes that the couple is not suitable for each other and must separate.
Speaking about the GBV storyline, Nkanyiso is grateful to Stained Glass Productions, the producers of Uzalo, for offering him a chance to educate on a widespread matter.
