Since her debut on Sarafina, South African actress Leleti Khumalo has been winning big of late. Currently, she is nailing her MaZulu on-screen character on etvs drama series Imbewu: The Seed. We can all agree she is one of the celebrated star actresses that have managed to wow us with their unmatched talent for decades.

With her career spanning for decades, she has managed to cap her acting flair with accolades. She has been awarded awards such as the SFTA Golden Horn Award for her unmatched talent in recent years. However, her thrust into the limelight came with a gig on the musical drama series Sarafina.

Her gig came from the backdrop of theatre arts performance. She was cast in Sarafina whilst she was part of the vibrant dance group Amajika. At the age of 15-years, she was dupped the next big thing to have graced our screens. From Sarafina, the actress bagged several gigs, which include Hotel Rwanda, Invictus, and Yesterday.

A few years later, she saw herself starring alongside the starstudded cast of SABC1’s drama series Generations. In the drama series, she played the on-screen character of Busiswe (Busi) Dlomo.

In the wake of her exit from Generations, she made all sorts of headlines when she joined the cast of Uzalo and played Zandile “MaNzuza” Mdletshe. Her Uzalo gig marked her return after a two-year hiatus from acting.

From Uzalo, she joined etvs drama series Imbewu: The Seed as MaZulu. She has been the face of the drama series since its debut, and she never ceases to amaze. Of interest is the fact that she also happens to be the drama series, executive producer. In the mix of things, Mzansi has been wondering how old she could be?

Well, it might come as a shocker, but she looks older than we think. The legendary actress is 51-years-old as of 2021. Leleti Khumalo was born on 30 March 1970 in KwaMashu, Durban, South Africa. Apart from acting, she doubles as a business mogul, radio host and musician.

In the mix of things, her net worth has been implicated in her life equation. Honestly, she cost a fortune to hire. For her MaZulu character, the actress earns around R120 000 per month, depending on scenes. Given her monthly takings, her net worth is an estimated R3.6 million as of 2021.
