In Pictures: Gomora actress Sannah Mchunu takes on Kiss the farmer challenge, her boyfriend gets Mzansi talking
Actress Sannah Mchunu who plays the role of Zodwa on Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora, has been teasing fans about her white boyfriend on social media. She recently shared their picture while fishing and Mzansi got excited and asked if she was doing the Kiss the farmer challenge.
On Gomora, the Zodwa character is a recovering alcoholic, Teddy’s mother and Gladys Dlamini’s childhood friend. Over the Gomora storyline, Zodwa struggled with alcoholism, a condition that deteriorates even from a sip of beer. She struggles to keep her mind off alcohol and often encounter near drinking moments. Zodwa stays with her son Teddy –the role played by Sicelo Buthelezi and her stepdaughter Sbongile –the role played by Nandipa Khubone in their shack at the heart of Gomora Township.
Sannah Mchunu, who is tipped to rack in awards at the next edition of the SAFTA Awards after an impressive acting season, is winning both on and off-screen. On-screen, she seems to be burying the hatchet with lover Bongani who dumped her when she struggled with alcoholism. Zodwa saw Bongani sending Qhoqhoqho on a wild goose hunt after confronting her about Don Buthelezi’s killer. Sannah left an abusive relationship in real life and bumped into acting after she accompanied a friend Winnie Khumalo to auditions. She found love in the hands of a white lover, a relationship that restored her glow. The two love birds are inseparable; though Zodwa is yet to show his face on close range, she frequently flaunts him on her social media pages.

Though Sannah remains mum about her new relationship, actress Tshiamo Modisane who plays the role of Nina Sithole on House of Zwide, commented ‘Get that Land sis’ on Zodwa’s recent picture with her boyfriend. Fellow actress Leera Mthethwa who plays the role of Jackie Hlungwani on Gomora, responded ‘you know too much’ on Tshiamo’s comment, a confirmation that the pair are in love.
