The cast has some versatility because there are as many new faces as old faces in the acting industry. Former Rhythm City actress Kamogelo Molatlhoe joined The Wife series, and they started showing her last week.
Kamogelo Molatlhoe has joined The Wife cast playing the role of Hlomu’s sister. She takes on the role of Lethu, who is Hlomu’s younger sister. As she is famously known, Kamo was introduced into the series last week at Hlomu’s ceremony. The young actress has been giving fans hints on her Instagram page of the role. She posted a picture of herself and Abdul Khoza in their traditional attires, but fans hardly caught on. When she posted a picture with the Zulu kids, fans started wondering who she portrayed in the series.
Kamogelo has been in the acting industry for several years now. She is most famous for the role of Kea in Rhythm City. She played a teenager who lived with Ma Blossom and went to school. Her baby face makes it easy for her to land roles of characters that are younger than her.
Roles Kamogelo Molatlhoe had before joining The Wife
The young actress started in theatre after graduating in Dramatic Arts from The University of Witswatersrand. She made her Television debut in 2015 in the segment of Bona Retsang called Living Positive as Gugu. The role opened doors for her in the industry. Next, she landed a role as Tshepang in the first season on Ingozi.
Besides all these shows mentioned, she featured in The Stick Up, a Mzansi Magic Movie released in June 2016. After landing a recurring role in Rhythm City, she played Cebile in Lithapo in 2020. Rhythm City, which was cancelled this year in July, saw a lot of actors getting out of jobs. Some actors were lucky enough to land new gigs soon after, and Kamogelo is one of them with her minor role in The hit series The Wife.
