South African actress Zikhona Sodlaka plays the role of Mandisa on the Showmax drama series The Wife, a production inspired by Hlomu The Wife book written by Dudu Busani-Dube. On The Wife, Mandisa plays the role of Nqoba Zulu’s (Abdul Khoza) girlfriend and baby mama; she is the mother to 6-year-old Ndumiso.
Mandisa struggles to get Nqoba to put a ring on her finger; she tries all tricks and shenanigans to get him to marry her. After changing Ndumiso’s surname to adopt hers, she truly cornered Nqoba, who quickly facilitated the traditional paying of damages. Upon the Nqoba and his brothers’ arrival to negotiate payment of damages, there were surprised by a hot-headed uncle. He demanded that they pay the bride price (lobola) after paying damages worthy R80 000.

Born on 7 June 1985 in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, she holds a Diploma in Business Management from Shepstone College. She enrolled for a certificate in Computer Programming at Havtec, which she dumped to pursue her passion in acting. Zikhona is a mother to 8 months baby boy Luphawu Sodlaka and takes motherhood to another level. Over her acting career, Mandisa played roles on prominent soapies and dramas, including Blood and Water, Generations, Rhythm City and DiepCity, amongst others.
