Zikhona Sodlaka has many South Africans applauding her talent this year with her roles in The Wife and Blood and Water. The talented actress has indeed made a couple of headlines in both her career and private life. Let’s take a look at Zikhona Sodlaka’s business empire.
The 36-year-old actress was born in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape and later moved to KwaZulu Natal, where she spent her childhood. She is a holder of a diploma in Business Administration from Shepstone College. She moved to Johannesburg after completing her diploma, where she wanted to pursue Computer Programming but later dropped the course to pursue a career in acting.
A lot of South Africa’s primetime shows like Generations, Muvhango and soul City have at some point added the talented actress to their cast. She was part of the famous Generations mass exodus in 2018. Zikhona landed her first Television role on After 9 in 2007, and that same year she bagged a role on Rhythm City. After that, she landed a role in Netflix’s hit international series Blood and Water. She joined the show in its second season when she was pregnant with her son.

Zikhona Sodlaka’s acting career
Zikhona’s role as Mandisa in The Wife makes her a household name. Apart from TV drama, she is also into films and movies. Zikhona is part of the cast of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Thina Sobabili: The two of us and Inhliziyo Yethu.
At the beginning of her career, she made a fortune doing modelling jobs before branching out into acting. She was featured in television commercials, and up till this day, she models for fashion houses sometimes together with her son. The entertainer is also known to have a beautiful voice for singing, but she has not shown an interest in being a musician.
Apart from entertaining us on Television, Zikhona is also a philanthropist. She has a charity organization called The Zikhona Sodlaka Foundation. She uses her platform to give back to the less fortunate ones in the community.
