“I’m not a guest judge, and you better get it. I’m here to stay.” Watch as Idols SA judges Seete and Somizi fight on camera
Idols SA has fast become a typical reality show, and the singing competition’s new season has been marred with drama. Before its premiere, it topped trends after Unathi Nkayi and Randal were shown the exit door. However, the recent episode was never short of drama, and Mzansi has since weighed into the matter with their two cents.
Things got heated between Idols SA judges Somizi and Thembi Seete, and the two exchanged words on camera. The seasoned judge told Seete that she had been making the same mistakes repeatedly and wasn’t listening to him.
However, Seete tried to find common ground with Somizi, but the who conversation went south. When the show was being wrapped up, the two had an altercation as they swiped at each other.
Somizi got upset that Seete was talking back and made it clear to her that he had been the face of Idol’s SA for eight years.
“I have been doing this for eight years. You just started now,” he said.

Well, Seete didn’t have any of it and stood her ground. She refused to be bullied and made her presence known.
“I’m not a guest here; I’m a judge. I’m not a guest, and you better get it. I’m a judge, and I’m here to stay. I’m the first lady of this show,” she said.
At the end of it, the altercation saw Somizi spilling his drink and saying “f**k” In the mix of things, JR was silent throughout the dispute and never weighed into the conversation.

But Mzansi was more than it was staged, and it was meant to hype the show. Recently JR seemingly hinted at his exit from the show. JR has it that he has been struggling to settle and get used to the responsibilities of an Idols SA judge since Somizi and Seete are not helping him out.
