Sibonile Ngubane has been making headlines with his role as Difa on Umkhokha, where he portrayed a man who was roped into evil deeds by his wife. Ever since the show’s first season ended, we have not had the privilege of seeing him in any other production lately. However, the actor has been active on social media, posting his day to day life and family.

Sibonile Ngubane took to social media to celebrate his birthday, and his age has shocked Mzansi. The actor said in a post that he had forgotten it was his birthday today till FNB sent him a message. The veteran actor is celebrating 50years today, and he is excited about it as he shows shock that he has lived half a century. Ngubane thanked God because he is strong and healthy at his age.

Many of his fans took to his comment section to wish their entertainer a happy birthday. A fellow entertainer Siyabonga Shibe made a video wishing the older actor a happy day and the rest of his life. When Sibonile Ngubane posted the video, he wrote in his caption that Shibe was the first person to do that for him in his life. Actress Enhle Mbali said she would be the second person to do it.

Sibonile has been in the acting industry since 1993 and has been active to this day. For most of his career, he has worked in theatre productions. The actor has been in shows like Sarafina, ipi Ntombi and Lion of the East, where he worked with Mbongeni Ngema.

On Television, the actor has been featured in Isibaya, where he is most famous. After that show was discontinued, he landed a role in Isibonakaliso, which aired on Mzansi Wethu. He was part of the Uzalo cast and went on to join The Estate the same year. At the end of last year, he landed a role on Umkhokha, which became the most-watched series on Mzansi Magic and had viewers wanting more. The show’s second season is yet to be announced, and rumours are that it will be turned into a telenovela.
