Happy Mashiane started his career under a football academy. He began with the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development academy in 2015. Happy played with them for a while, but he remained under the academy for long. After his stint with the Chiefs youth academy, he went to the Tembisa Black Pirates. He played for his birthplace team until he could play for the Mamelodi Sundowns Academy.
