Grilled Chicken Breast Recipe

Ingredients
- 500 grams deboned chicken breast
- 1 large green pepper deseeded and cut into cubes
- 1 large red onion cut into large cubes
- 60 ml oil
- 15 ml garlic paste
- 8 ml ginger paste
- 2 ml ground turmeric
- 3 ml cayenne pepper
- 30 ml tandoori masala
- 5 ml ground coriander
- 5 ml garammasala
- 30 ml lemon juice
- 40 ml Greek yogurt
- 20 ml tomato puree or paste
French Fries
- 4 large skinned potatoes
- 750 ml cooking oil
Side Salad (Green Salad)
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 gram cucumber
- 2 diced tomatoes
- 3 tbsp vanaigrette salad dressing
Instructions
- Put the chicken breasts and dry with paper towels and cut into large cubes
- Put the chicken, green pepper and onion in amixing bowl with 15ml of the oil. Add the rest of the ingredients gently mix tocoat then leave to marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 2hrs
- Bring the marinated chicken to room temperaturebefore cooking. Thread the chicken, green pepper and onions into skewers.
- Heat an outdoor grill to medium hot. Brush the grid with some of the remaining oil. This prevents the chicken from sticking
- Grill the skewers for 13-15 minutes turning every 3 minutes and brushing the exposed side with oil
- To serve with French Fries and side Salad
- For the beverage serve with white wine
Preparation of the Green Salad
- Microwave or saute onion and until soft and set aside to cool
- Combine all the other ingredients in a medium size bowl,sprinkle salt and pepper. Toss to mix
- Pour some salad dressing which is the vinaigrette to coat toss again and serve.
Preparation of French Fries
- Skin the potatoes and cut into big julienne pieces, dry them in a paper towel
- Heat the oil to flash point
- Fry the potatoes for 8 minutes
