Nyaniso Dzedze joins Durban Gen cast playing the role of Dr Dhlomo.
Durban Gen’s official Instagram page has announced that Nyaniso Dzedze will be joining their cast playing the role of Doctor Dhlomo. The etv drama series has had an exciting couple of weeks. Their interesting storylines have had viewers glued to their television screens.

From MacGyver’s suspension to Dr Jack’s family drama, viewers could not get enough of the storylines that the producers kept feeding us. With those storylines coming to life, many famous faces joined the medical drama series. Sizwe and Lizwe Khumbuza and the other half of the Imbewu-The Seed twins, Nokwanda Khuzwayo, have landed minor roles on the show. Veterans in the industry like Tina Jaxa and Phenyo Dlomo have also joined the cast.
Nyaniso has a different flair for his acting. He aces villainous roles and looks cool while doing it. Nyaniso played the character of Luzuko, who was Jack Mabaso’s right-hand man in the soapie. He replaced The Captain as the most trusted soldier for the gangster in a suit. His role was to do all the dirty work for the character played by Vusi Kunene.
Nyaniso Dzedze joins Durban Gen as Dr Dhlomo
His role in etv’s Rhythm City captivated fans. Nyaniso brought to life the part of Gift the Blesser. Gift starts as a man who helps students get accommodation. His role then gets entangled in a sexual relationship with Mapula, a minor at the time. He later gets into a relationship with Ziyanda, Mapula’s boss, and things get very awkward. He had to lie to try and taint Mapula’s relationship with her boss and destroy her internship, but it did not work.
Fans of the actor can hardly wait to see him on the etv show. The details of his role are not disclosed yet, but with the experience that Nyaniso has, we can bet viewers will be glued to their screens for the duration of his appearances.
