Thato, the former Big Brother Mzansi contestant, impressed Mzansi when she was a guest presenting on the show Home Ground. After seeing her excellent presenting skills, South Africans took to social media to express how impressed they were and how presenting was just her forte. Home ground is a sports show on Mzansi Magic presented by Minnie Dlamini and Lungsta. The show showcases incredible sporting moments, upcoming events and also live broadcasting from sports events. It’s one of the biggest shows in the country, and it has a massive fan base.
Thato has incredible talents in the media industry in general. She is a skilled actress and has spoken so many times about wanting to pursue acting full-time one day. She is also a very skilled dancer and shows off her dancing skills on social media very often. Thato is a talented actress, but she hasn’t had the right platform to showcase her talents.
From Big Brother Mzansi, she is one of the former contestants who are very active on the video-sharing platform TikTok. Thato is very good at sharing routines and creating them. Her fans can’t get enough of her skills, especially because she can choose different dance styles, for example, mixing pantsula with Michael Jackson’s moonwalk.
On many occasions, the former BBM contestant has spoken about how the reality show was a step into the industry for her. Although she is an academic who once had a job in the corporate world, she always knew her heart was somewhere in media. Not only did she want to be part of the media, but she specifically wanted to be an entertainer.
In real life, Thato is an accountant with an Honours degree in Accounting. She left her job to join Big Brother Mzansi. Initially, she says her family was very disappointed with the move, but they eventually supported her as they could see it was her dream, and they had no right to try to stop her.
After impressing South Africa with her incredible presence in skills, she became one of the country’s most critical trending topics on Twitter. Thato, the presenter, was the hashtag trending, and it ranked number 4 and 5 in the entire region.
As many people noted how good she is as a presenter, they reminisced of a time in Big Brother Mzansi when the talented young lady was denied the opportunity to showcase her presenting skills. Now fast forward, the girl is making small waves and the presenting world, and she seems to have gotten an extensive fan base.
As she was trending, many of her fans reiterated that she is indeed immaculate, and they are generally happy that she stepped up and did wonderfully. Her fans are also happy that she is getting success after the show. Her presenting gig is not the only success she has acquired since leaving the show, but it seems like a step in the right direction.
We can not talk about Thato and not to mention her partnership with the clothing brand Fila. A few months ago, the dancer announced on social media that she was partnering with the brand. So far, she has been an amicable brand ambassador rocking Fila wherever she goes. Not only that, but she uses the clothes for her videos which trend on social media. From this alone, we can tell she’s the type of person who always goes the extra mile.
