Emtee’s manager and childhood friend found dead
Emtee’s manager and childhood friend was found dead in their studio this morning. Sources confirm the incident and suspect drug overdose. The Police are investigating and drug overdose is suspected to be the cause of death.
Emtee Records confirms the terrible news via a press Statement but say that this did not happen at their studio.
“We wish to formally confirm the news of the tragic death of Lebogang Maswanganyi (Lebo), Emtees close friend during the early hours of this morning. Details of the circumstances of his death will be addressed in a formal statement to be issued by his family in due course.”
“In the meantime, we note the unfortunate utterances and speculations that are already circulating on social media around the circumstances of death. For the record, at the time of death Lebo was neither with Emtee nor was he at Emtee’s place or studio.”
“We view these and similar utterances as inhuman and insensitive to both Lebo’s family and friends in particular Emtee who at the moment is trying to come to terms with the loss of a childhood friend. We wish to thank each and every one that has called and/or sent messages of comfort and support to Emtee. We urge you to continue carrying him and Lebo’s friends and family in prayer,” the statement reads.

People are expressing their condolences on social media saying,
“Some people go through a lot of stress and can’t face them sober we don’t know what motivates or haunts them into doing drugs all we can do is wish them well and hopefully they recover from it. RIP”
“These guys have money. What is their business with drugs? There are a lot of things they can do for enjoyment or to pass the time. Why drugs? If they have to get high then use kanibis and bake muffins at least that won’t kill you. Idle hands with lots of money and no other plan.”
