Paul Mahuma Rapetsoa, Neo’s grandfather, is a celebrated film producer.

Neo Rapetsoa’s grandfather, the late Paul Mahuma Rapetsoa, was highly rated as one of Limpopo’s most talented and influential creatives.

He established an acting academy in Seshego to groom and promoted local talent in the dramatic arts. Paul won several awards for his contribution to creative arts in Limpopo and South Africa.

Paul Mahuma Rapetsoa’s experience spans the years. He studied drama in 1972 and joined SABC as a Drama producer in 1983, where he won a trip to Italy after scooping the best producer award.

Despite her family reputation, Neo Rapetsoa is curving a career on her own; in 2018, she studied at New York Film Academy in the United States and already has film credits. She played roles in Ferguson Films productions The Queen and Unmarried.

Playing Didi in Generations The Legacy

Neo plays the role of Didi Mpofu in Generations The Legacy; she is Fikile and Ben’s firstborn daughter with an attitude towards her mother. Didi arrived at the Moroka mansion with her younger brother Bonga (Tabile Tau) for her mother’s engagement with Mazwi Moroka. She proudly carries her father’s attitude and her mother’s character, a no-nonsense teen who has her mind set on hating her mother for life.

She was studying to be a lawyer but later ditched her studies to be a photographer and wanted to be a photojournalist. Her new career path earned her a scholarship to study overseas, an arrangement that clashed with her mother’s wedding.

Fikile risked everything and announced the postponement of her wedding to accommodate her daughter showing that she is a changed mother. Her trick seems to have worked, and Didi convinced Kabisi to push the wedding to an earlier date.

Playing a role in Generations The Legacy boosted Neo’s CV as she set to conquer the acting industry.
