Somizi and Mohale
After cheating and abuse claims, media personality Somizi, ‘Somgaga’ Mhlongo and his estranged husband Mohale Moutaug parted ways. Mohale and Somizi made headlines some months ago after Mohale accused the Idols SA Judge of psychological and physical abuse in an interview which Mohale did with producers of the reality show, Living the dream with Somizi.
Mohale told producers that Somizi tried to kill him with a kitchen knife and struck him off the road with his car while he tried to flee. The couple had been arguing about Mohale alleged cheating. However, Somizi was hurt by the allegations which Mohale told his producers. Somizi says he never thought that he would need to defend his honour due to someone he had loved deeply. He believes Mohale is deliberately harming his reputation.
Zinhle Mabena and Robert Ngwenya
Zinhle Mabena was arrested and accused of attempted murder of her husband. Robert Ngwenya survived a shooting in January that occurred at a fuel station. A car came by, and individuals shot at him and his bodyguard, unfortunately gunning down the bodyguard. Police said they had evidence that pointed in Zinhle’s direction. However, the National Prosecution Authority threw the case out of court, and the arrest was dismissed as unlawful. After her release, Zinhle’s PR agents issued a statement reiterating that her arrest was illegal and an intimidation tactic by her husband.
Zinhle also spoke about how she had been abused in her marriage. However, Robert Ngwenya also responded by revealing his wife had also abused him. According to reports, the couple’s child and their domestic worker witnessed incidents whereby Zinhle attacked his husband.

Makhadzi and King Monada
The Limpopo stars were at war with each other after the Ghanama teasers, the song they worked together. Both Makhadzi and Monada were claiming ownership of the music. However, even before the song could officially be out and hit streaming platforms. The artists were already exchanging insults in a heated argument over the ownership of the music. Makhadzi then removed King Monada’s art of the song and released it. However, Ghanama is still making waves. King Monada went on to release the Ghanama single featuring Mukosi and named it Ghanama S Plus.
Nomcebo Zikode and Master KG
A few months ago, the Jerusalema hitmakers were trending on social media after getting involved in a public spat over their hit song Jerusalema. Nomcebo Zikode and Master KG are still at loggerheads over the payment for the music that has become a global sensation. Taking to social media, Nomcebo released a statement claiming she never was paid for the song.
However, Master KG disputed the statement and claimed Nomcebo demanded a higher share than initially agreed 50/50. He claimed Nomcebo asked for 70% of Jerusalema royalties. Ever since the Jerusalema scandal, the two have not worked together, which resulted in Nomcebo and Master KG touring the world separately.
Prince Kaybee and Black Coffee
It all started as a joke when Kaybee had a fiery exchange of words with Euphonic over uplifting upcoming artists. Then unexpectedly, Black Coffee entered the ring when he asked Kaybee if he thought he was a celebrity, and Tweeps tagged that particular tweet as shade, and that’s when all the hell broke loose. Absolutely nothing was cute from that point.
