South African actress and presenter Pearl Modiadie has landed one of the most significant roles of her career as she lands the lead role in an upcoming BET Telenovela. The actress is no stranger to making headlines for her private and career life and sometimes for all the wrong reasons. She is known by primetime television viewers for her recent role in Entangled, where she played Andiswa.

Pearl’s role in Entangled is that of a woman who has been married to Reggie for many years and has a successful social media career. However, this life gets chaotic when she catches her husband red-handed kissing another man, and her world crumbles. She agrees with her husband to carry on their facade of a happily married couple, so they do not lose their social media following and content.
The secret, however, comes out after Reggie, who is tired of pretending tips off a gossip blogger on Instagram. The two go their separate ways but agree to co-parent and raise their kids while living separately. However, this puts a dent in Reggie’s career as people protest and try to get him cancelled by the brands and companies he works with.
Pearl lands new role in Redemption
According to entertainment news commentator Phil Mpela, Pearl Modiadie has bagged the leading role in a BET Telenovela that’s coming soon called Redemption. The part that she held in Entangled before was not a lead but a supporting cast role; this was a breakthrough in her acting career. The role she will take is yet to be specified and made public as the show is set to debut on screens on the 28th of September 2022.

The Redemption cast has many seasoned actors with vast acting experience and can easily be termed an all-star cast. Seasoned actresses Tina Jaxa and Sthandiwe Kgoroge also joined the cast of this new show. Tina Jaxa’s recent role on Television was in Durban Gen, playing Dr Jack’s mother. Sthandiwe Kgoroge is recently known for her role in Umkhokha as MaNzimande.
Famous former Generations actor Seputla Sebogodi who took on the role of the legendary Kenneth Mashaba, will also join the cast. Last but not least, Themba Ndaba, known as the famous Brutus in Mzansi Magic’s The Queen, will join the star-studded cast.
