On Monday, 1Magic aired the first episode of its first mini-series, Pila Pila. It stars Mapula Mafole, Thabiso Ramotshela and Saint Seseli.

“Pila Pila tells the story of a young matriculant, Thabo ‘Junior’ Mokale, who was raised with an iron fist by his father – who happens to be a principal at his school, Botho Pele Secondary in Soshanguve,” a press statement reads. “It comes to light, from a blogger named ‘Gloves-off’, Botho Pele Secondary, which has consistently achieved a 100 percent matric pass rate over a five-year period, has been leaking matric exam papers. This exposed the perfect principal and father as an immoral, unprincipled individual.”
