Choreographer and media personality Somizi Mhlongo listed three beneficiaries of his estate. On the list is his daughter Bahumi Mhlongo whom he adores so much. Another person on the list is the mother of his daughter Palesa Madusakwane. Somizi’s ex-husband from Opulance Radio, Mohale Motaung, is also on the list, and his name there shocked Mzansi. Why would anyone put their ex-husband’s name on their will?
Somizi reportedly put Mohale’s name on his will to shrink and dilute what Mohale can claim whilst Somgaga is still alive. Mohale claimed he is entitled to 50% of Somizi’s estate. Somizi has a high up network with a number of valuable estate homes, lavish rides and a fat bank balance. Mohale wants half of everything.
Fans of Somizi call Mohale a gold digger
Ever since Mohale made abuse allegations against Somizi’s fans have called him a gold digger. Quite frankly, most fans of the choreographer believed Mohale was in it for the money from the get-go. In most interviews Somizi expressed his fans totally misunderstood Mohale and their love for each other. Now that the Opulance Radio presenter wants half Somizi’s assets, fans are attacking him online.
Mohale’s fans came to his defence
Michael’s friends and fans are up in arms defending against social media trolls. Now that he wants his 50%, he has the support if his fans. Some men online say Mohale should go ahead and make his demands as women have been doing this for years.
Divorce turns uglier than the initial phases.
After Mohale made abuse allegations against the media personality Somizi, he said something. He said he wanted a divorce from his alleged abuser. He also said he only wants his clothes and the car Somizi damaged. A few months later, Mohale started singing a different tune.
Fans advise Somizi on what to do next
Somizi’s fans online suggested that he changes some of his title deeds and some of his vehicle ownership details. In that way, he can also transfer some of his money to Palesa and Bahumi and then leave Mohale with just debt.
Can Somizi lose 50% of his estate?
Somizi and Mohale didn’t register a civil marriage with a prenuptial agreement. Their marriage was traditional and all customary marriages are in the Community of Property. Legally Mohale can get 50% of his ex’s estate no matter how hard Somizi can fight.
