African National Congress (ANC) secretary general Ace Magashule says his executive committee has resolved to approve decision to reinstate the its leaders who are accused of looting the now collapsed VBS Mutual Bank.
Provincial treasurer Danny Msiza and the deputy chairperson Florence Radzilani appeared in advocate Terry Motau’s report being mentioned in the looting of R2 billion from the bank.
Seven people including the regulatory executives, auditor and VBS Bank leadership were released on bail
The return of the implicated leaders was opposed by ANC Limpopo secretary Soviet Lekganyane but his voice could not influence the executive.

However, speaking on Newzroom Afrika, Magashule says the decision has been welcomed by all ANC structures.
“We engaged the leadership in Limpopo. It’s a very disciplined branch of the ANC. They have embraced our decision because it is part of the national executive committee and the provincial executive committee,” he said today.
The VBS saga has also implicated the EFF leadership with Julius Malema and Floyd Shivambu being subject to investigations by journalists.
