Amo Chidi Age
Amo Chidi is a female actress, dancer and singer who was born as Amogelang Chidi on 5 February 1991, during the time of apartheid. Eight months after her birth, State president by then F.D. De Klerk promised to terminate the apartheid government and opt to create a new multiracial constitution and Nelson Mandela announced the commencement of constitutional talks. It’s like her birth was the trigger for the abolishment of apartheid since three years later South Africa was a free democratic country. Amo Chidi is a Christian and South African Native who from a very young age wanted to make it big in the acting industry.

When Amo Chidi was in Matric applied to study both musical theatre and psychology, to her surprise she was accepted for both. She eventually had to decide which course to take. Amo eventually majored in musical theatre, music and dance at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in Gauteng province city of Pretoria.
Career
Amo’s career started from a very young age of when she showed her face on Television in a singing competition Light House on SABC 2 and was one of the top finalist. From there, in 2008 at age 17, she was one of the top 40 finalist on the reality competition High School Musical: Spotlight South Africa. She went on to represent South Africa in Netherlands in the Pan African: Daughters of Africa show.
Rhythm City first aired as television show on July 9, 2007, five years later Amo Chidi landed a role as Renelwe on Rhythm City and made her debut on the show late 2012. She portrayed the character of Renelwe, Mamokete’s niece.

On February 2019, Amogelang announced her magical pregnancy and posted a picture for proof. The pictures of her pregnancy got more likes than any of her previous post and the pictures went viral all over different social media platforms. Her departure from Rhythm City
Towards the end of March 2020, after 8 successful years as cast for Rhythm City, Amo Chidi announced her departure from the show and she announced this on social media. It was all thanks from the actress, Amo’s words of thanks; “It’s been a great honour to have shared the past 8 years of my career with an excellent cast and crew. It is bittersweet to say goodbye, you will be greatly missed.”
