KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Colonel Robert Netshiunda, confirmed the death of the well-known musician and his bodyguard.

According to Garrith Jamieson, an ALS paramedic, he responded to a shooting incident at approximately 22:15 on Friday evening. Upon arriving at the scene, he and the paramedics were met with utter chaos.
Two men, believed to be in their late 30s, were found to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of the paramedics, the first man was declared dead at the scene as he had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and showed no signs of life.
