Ageing in two years: Bonang’s before and after pictures get Mzansi trolling her
Drama purged from literally out of the blue. A Twitter user compared two images. One image was of the American actress Meghan Good and one of the images was of the media personality Bonang Matheba. Bonang is 33, and Meghan is 43. Initially, the images were put side by side to show how both women have aged throughout the years.
Mzansi kept the trolls coming
Firstly tweeps took jabs at Bonang for not ageing the same as Meghan. Jabs were not fair as the two pictures are not the same. Meghan’s photo was fresh from a photo shoot, and she had her makeup and angles on point. Bonang’s image was very impromptu from an event, and her angles were not communicating. “She looks like Thuli Madonsela”
Bonang’s image in the comparison was very impromptu, and she didn’t have her angels right. One Twitter user put her image side by side with the former public protector, Advocate Thuli Madonsela. After that, the tweep said Bonang is slowly becoming Thuli Madonsela.

Her comparison with Meghan Good was one of many for the past few weeks. When Disney plus launched in South Africa, Bonang created an insert for the brand. Bonang had a ponytail hairstyle and a blue fantasy-themed dress.
Usually, Bonang Matheba wears weave hairstyles, and that’s just been her brand ever since she became famous. Tweeps took jabs at her receding hairline and said she should stick to weaves. Tweeps just made jokes about her appearance on the insert.
Her fans came to her defence.
Many fans of the award-winning presenter came to her defence and said she looked beautiful despite what all the haters were saying. Fans called out trolls and said Bonang could not look 24 forever, and the fact that she has been consistent through it all says a lot about her.
Young Famous and African star Andile Ncube rushed to Twitter to share kind words about Bonang and how much of a star she is. Bonang responded with gratitude.
