Dr. Jerry Mofokeng waMakhetha
Dr. Jerry’s character on Scandal, Neo Mokhethi, showed us a journey of a man diagnosed with prostrate cancer and sought treatment with the support of his family. In real life, Jerry Mofokeng was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October last year.At the time he only shared this devastating news with his friends, family and workmates.The doctors ordered him to go through five weeks of radiation, and he went through radiation while working. After five weeks of radiation and extra recovery, his doctor told him that he was in remission.
Nandi Nyembe
The actress is known for her role as Gogo Mkhithi on Isibaya. Gogo Mkhithi is a Sangoma on the drama series, and Nandi is also a sangoma in real life. She realised her calling as a sangoma when she got seriously sick and was taken to the hospital where they found soil in her urine sample. Currently, she has stopped practicing and occasionally helps her daughter, who is also a sangoma.
Liteboho Molise
The actress is famously known for her character as Tebogo on Muvhango. On the soapie,Tebogo is married to Mulalo but her husband has another woman in his life,Mishumo. This was also the case in Liteboho in real life as she was a third wird wife in a polygamous marriage. When she got married she had no idea that her husband had other wives. She recently got a divorce from her real-life husband.

These two played James and Meme in Muvhango. They were on-screen lovers and their chemistry spilled over to their real-life as they were dating off-screen as well. They have since broken up but they have a daughter together.
Menzi Biyela
The actor plays the character of Pastor Sambolo Gwala in the SABC 1 soapie, Uzalo. In the soapie his character was reunited with his father,Nkunzi on his wedding day. In real life he had to move to Durban for the shooting of Uzalo and was reunited with his 12 year-old son. His son Siphosethu, has been living with his mother and would see his father sometimes when he visited Johannesburg since the parents are no longer together.
