Stuffed mushrooms

Looking for a little time consuming recipe here it is. It is one of best Christmas dinner appetizer. Filled with a mouth watering and unique flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 12 whole fresh mushrooms
  • 10 g chopped shallot
  • 25 g bread crumbs

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Peel the mushrooms and break the stems off. Chop stems extremely fine, discarding tough ends of the stems.
  3. Cook the shallots, without color in a little oil.
  4. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook for 4 minute.
  5. When the mushroom is no longer hot, stir in the cheese. Mixture should be thick.
  6. Spoon the filling in the mushrooms, fill each mushroom cap with the same amount of stuffing.
  7. Sprinkle with a few bread crumbs and melted butter.
  8. Bake the mushrooms for about 18- 20 minutes. Until liquid starts to form from under caps of the mushroom.

Notes

You can add thick sliced bacon and also substitute parmesan cheese with mozzarella.
