Celebrated business mogul and cum actress Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize is topping trends after she was nominated for the E! People’s Choice Awards. She has the bling and the plug too. Of interest is the fact that she was nominated alongside four other South Africans.
The bubbly author joins a host of South African celebrities like Gomora actress Ama Qamata, The Wife actress Khanyi Mbau, and TikTok sensation Sphokuhle Ntshalintshali on the E! People’s Choice Award list. They are all nominated under the African Social Star category.
“It’s been a really great week, I’m still excited and humbled to have been considered as a nominee for the E! People’s Choice Awards in the category African Social Star,” she wrote.
We can all agree that she has been winning big of late. Her E! People’s Choice Awards nomination comes in the backdrop of another nomination. Taking to their Instagram page, E! Entertainment Africa posted:

Reality star Shauwn Mkhize nominated for the E! People’s Choice Award, Mzansi impressed
According to Sunday World, she was recently nominated at the DStv Viewers Choice awards in the Favourite Personality category.
Chiff.com reports that the awards will take place on E! Channel on Tuesday, 6 December, at 9 PM live from the Barkar Hangar in Santa Monica. Industry peers select the nominees and winners, and the awards are determined solely by the American viewing public.
Another popular category is The Movie of 2022: Bullet Train, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elvis, Jurassic World Dominion, Nope, The Batman, Thor: Love and Thunder and Top Gun: Maverick. In the music categories, top nominees are contenders for The Album of 2022, including Dawn FM by The Weeknd, Growin’ Up by Luke Combs, Harry’s House by Harry Styles, Midnights by Taylor Swift, Mr Morale & The Big Steppers by Kendrick Lamar and Renaissance by Beyoncé.
Back home, she made her much-talked-about debut on the e.tv medical drama series Durban Gen. Her debut came in the backdrop of a string of small screens the likes of South Africa’s most watched drama series Uzalo. Mzansi has been more than convinced that she is gifted on-screen gigs rather than doing auditions.
