Somizi Mhlongo is topping the trends on Twitter after the airing of Idols SA’s latest episode. Somizi was moved by Idols SA contestant Thapelo’s performance, who delivered his rendition of ‘Seasons’ by LLoyiso and compared him to award-winning musician LLoyiso leaving Mzansi stunned.
Mzansi took Somizi’s comment about Thabelo being a better performer than LLoyiso to Twitter and analysed the issue. Idols SA viewers suggest that Somizi’s statement was not fair, and he owes them an apology by comparing LLoyiso to Thapelo, who is still making strides in the music industry. A Twitterrate comment;

However, besides all the trolls that Somizi, the ‘Whoooo Shaamme‘ judge, is getting from Mzansi, he did not know the singer of the song before he commented. He was judging from the performance Thapelo delivered and mentioned that maybe Thapelo did better than the original song.

Thapelo I have never heard this song. I don’t know who the original singer is but trust me I think you sounded better than the original song!
Iconic judge Somizi was honest that he did not know LLoyiso. Yet, Mzansi is trolling him and begging him to apologise for lying that Thapelo nailed the song better than the original. A Twitter user commented:
You guys are being unfair Somizi said he doesn’t know the singer of the Song. Stop making it a big deal haii you hate this guy for no reason. Let Somgaga rest he did nothing wrong there. he just motivated Thapelo!
Idols SA is filled with drama capped with thrills, becoming the most-watched reality show. It is without a doubt that Idols SA will be making headlines every Sunday after airing its episodes, either for good reasons or bad. This time around, Mzansi is unhappy with Somizi’s judging skills on Thapelo, and they can’t hide.
Last week the show was topping the trends for good reasons, as Mzansi was praising JR Bogopa for being an outstanding judge who helps contestants with good musical technical skills.
