The Royals have put themselves in so much trouble by harbouring Mpho and Rosemary in the name of healing, but is that why Rose is there? Since she made her way back into the Royal house, Rosemary has shown signs of being more potent than Mulimisi. She has been walking through locked doors and travelling undetected to and from the Royal house.
Mulimisi has taken a curious interest in Rose’s initiation, and some of his discoveries have made him very uncomfortable. A few nights ago, Rendani and Vho-Masindi walked into Mulimis’s hut to chat with Rosemary; after Vhutshilo threw a tantrum for the umpteenth time, what they found in there was an empty hut.
The hut looked like Mulimisi had packed up and left, but when Mulimisi came back, he was also shocked to see his house in that state. Things got even weirder when some transition happened, and Rosemary appeared out of nowhere with all of Mulimis’s belongings. This event shocks the Royals and terrifies Mulimisi, who comes down hard on Rosemary.
Mulimisi is starting to get afraid of Rosemary’s power
Mulimisi realises the signs of Witchcraft from Rose, and he lets her know how he feels about what she has done. He tells her that good witch start as good healers; that’s how they know how to separate good Muthi from bad ones. Rosemary explained that she explored and created a dangerous concoction that made everything disappear, including her and Mpho.
Rosemary recovered well after transitioning back, but Mpho hasn’t recovered yet; this proves just how dangerous Rosemary could become if she finishes her initiation and chooses to become a witch.
Let’s explore how dangerous and powerful Rose might become
1. Rose is a fugitive on the run from the police; how the police gatch her if she had the power to vanish like she did last night?
2. She could hurt the Royals badly. Rosemary has managed to worm her way back into the palace, and everyone is protecting her because she helped Vho-Masindi. She has the freedom to move now that she has the power to vanish at any time she commands.
3. She is stealing Mulimisi’s powers and taking over his territory.
