Bomb productions have been teasing a new series coming to Mzansi television in 2023 for many months. The cast has been announced, and despite a few actors who Mzansi complained about, most of the cast members received a nod from the public. After many months of the series being in production, the production company has finally shared the trailer of the long-awaited Shaka Ilembe with the public.
Taking to their Instagram account, Bomb productions shared a clip of the Shaka Ilembe series, which will be aired next year. In the trailer, the life story of Shaka Zulu is told from when he was born to when he became one of the most feared warriors of the Zulu state. Comments on the trailer show that the show is better than people expected of a story that has been told many times in the history of Television.

The story, as told by the trailer, shows the story of how Shaka came to this world out of wedlock by his mother, Queen Nandi. Her family faces a disgrace, and the Etsy her from her family causes her to run away many times with her children. Shaka is mentored into a warrior by King Dingiswayo, and after his father dies, he goes back to rule over the Zulus with his mother by his side.
Nomzamo Mbatha, who takes on one of the leading roles as Queen Nandi in the series, is also the Executive Producer of Shaka Ilembe. After a lot of research to try and give a more accurate chain of events than the other poorly researched productions before, this sets to tell the story with more information than before.
The Cast of Shaka Ilembe
Lemogang Tsipa will play the role of Shaka as the adult version of the King and Ntando Zondi as the younger version of the King of the Zulu. Thembinkosi Mthembu will play the role of King Dingiswayo, while Wiseman Mncube will play the role of the historic King Zwide. Shaka Ilembe is set to debut in a 12-episode series on Mzansi Magic in 2023, but the date is yet to be announced to the public.
