Gomora star Leera Mthethwa took social media by storm today after revealing that she was the voice behind the official spokesperson at the SAMA awards. Taking to her Instagram, Leera shared a video of herself introducing the hosts of the SAMA awards, Nandi Madida and Lawrence Maleka. Her fans and Mzansi were amazed that their favourite actress was a talented MC who graced them with a melodious voice at the 28 SAMA awards.

The Gomora star was excited and humbled to be the official voice for the SAMA awards. It was her first time to be part of the SAMA’s; Mzansi and other A-list celebrities came to her post to praise her. Leera has been an MC for years and is usually hired at weddings, parties and church events. Being at the SAMA was her huge big event, and she couldn’t hide her joy and shared the news with her fans.
On Gomora, she plays Ms Jackie Hlungwani, a former Gomora high principal. She was close friends with Principal Melusi Dlamini (Zolisa Xaluva), and she became the successor after her friend went to jail for murder. After becoming Gomora High School’s acting principal, she failed to manage the school and was replaced by Mr Nkosinathi (played by Fezile Makhanya). Leera is killing her role to perfection on Gomora, and Mzansi is growing fond of her character. Since she joined Gomora as Ms Jackie Hlungwani, she has gained a legion of followers on her social media platforms, and the actress is excited to be part of Gomora. Talking to News24, she said:
Gomora has been phenomenal. It is number one in my heart and number one in many people’s hearts. It’s number one in viewership as well. I told one of my producers that l finally have a home and what better home than Gomora? I’m working with some of the biggest names. Thembi Seete, l mean we grew up listening and watching her, and here l am working with her. I’m like do you know who you are?
Besides playing Ms Jackie Hlungwani on Gomora, she has also been featured in several television productions and is a model. She is a model for plus-sized ladies, and her Instagram is well decorated with lovely pictures of herself flaunting her beauty and curvy body.
