Rapper and TV Presenter Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye is making the headlines again for cheating on her fiance, just a day before his famous show Uyajola returns on the small screen. Jub Jub busts cheaters on the show and is sometimes involved in physical confrontations. It seems he is not learning a thing from his highly rated show!
Speaking to City Press, Tumi Mthembu, aged 35, claims she has been used by Jub Jub and remained quiet for a long time, but she decided to speak as their relationship is not irreparable.
Mthembu says she made the same mistake as Kelly Khumalo, Amanda du Pont and several other women to forgive Jub Jub and believe he is a different person.
The accounting professional says she supported the rapper while he was in jail for culpable homicide. “I visited him the four years he was in prison, and I have been supportive. It has become clear to me that he is after my money and never loved me,” she said.
Mthembu says she also bankrolled media campaigns to restore Jub Jub’s image after his unpopular release from prison, having served four out of the ten years he was sentenced.
Jub Jub is currently involved with a woman, Zenith “Zee” Mia, of Italian origin, and he stays at her residence in Johannesburg, according to Mthembu.
“She thinks she is the main partner. He engages you and uses you as he doesn’t have money. That’s his strategy. He told me not to share pictures of us on social media as he was protecting me as his future wife,” Mthembu said.
She says she only learned about Mia after a celebrity friend told her. Her suspicions became real after seeing a woman’s underwear during a video call.
“We had a video call just before he bathed, and I saw pink underwear. I asked him to Zoom in, but he said it was a pair of scrubbing gloves and hung up. I once visited him, and he said I wasn’t allowed to go to his bedroom as he was involved in traditional healing,” Mthembu narrated.
“He only earns R170,000 at Uyajola9/9, and much of it goes towards servicing his debts. On his birthday in June, he asked me for R100,000 to buy stock for a business venture. He kept telling me that I would be proud of him and that he has a shop he wants to surprise me with,” she said.
Jub Jub disappeared with the money and switched off his phone, claiming his boss Moja Love Aubrey Tau booked him for a photoshoot.
