When young model Natasha Carol Gora took a photo shoot with Ivhu Tribe, one of Africa’s most sought-after designers, the last thing she expected was to end up on fire.
The photoshoot was themed around “Fire Goddess and Redefining the definition of lit. Gora was wearing a Ndinopisa Dress from Avante Grande.
The set was art personified, with different colours of smoke blowing in the air, and Gora even showed us the process she went through getting glammed up on set.
The team took Carol to a location outdoors somewhere in beautiful Harare, Zimbabwe, and they were snapping away at her as she posed.
Sometime in the middle of the shoot, her dress was then lit on fire. This was done for the effect we assume.
This is where everything turned highly flammable.
Carol seemed to be comfortable at first with the flames going around the dress; a few seconds later, Carol started to scream out of control.
“I’m burning”, she cried out.
The crew started to run around in a panic, trying to put out the flames while she was busy screaming, and at some point, the fire came very close to her face.
Gora gave an explanation on her Instagram about this incident.
She said she was burning and on fire.
The young model found some humour in the matter as she can even laugh in her video.
She said she had an awesome time working with the team, and even though things started flammable, she would work with them again.
The whole dress ended up in the dust as the crew frantically attempted to put out the fire.
Some of Natasha’s followers were only happy she made it out without burns from this and wondered why such a dangerous effect wasn’t applied in post photoshoot using Photoshop or something like that.
Granted, the theme was Goddess of fire, and the result came out beautiful, but it did look terrifying for everyone on set.
Natasha was crowned the face of Cosmopolitan in 2019, and she is one of the most beautiful models in Africa.
The execution of the shoot might have had glitches, but the art was captured to the chore.
Natasha is also satisfied with the outcome, and so are we.
