He is a genius: Julius Malema’s academic qualifications stun Mzansi
Julius Malema is a South African politician and activist who is a member of parliament and the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters. He is famous for his eloquent speeches when given an elevated platform. In the wake of his articulate speeches, questions about his education level have been asked.
Malema is a genius with a cabinet of educational certificates to show for it. One can tell from his English jargon and fluency when delivering his speeches that he is highly educated. In 2021, a matric certificate circulated on social media showing fake results of Julius Malema. The certificate was photoshopped, showing that he only passed one subject out of nine, and Mzansi mocked him. Here is a sneak peek at his academic qualifications and the institutions he studied at.
Julius Malema’s academic qualifications stun Mzansi
The politician known for his powerful speeches was born and bred in Seshego near Polokwane, Transvaal Province, now known as Limpopo. A single mother raised him, and his father was absent. The reason why Malema grew up without a father is unknown, but his mother ensured to put food on the table for her son.
Malema did his highschool at Mohlakaneng High School in Limpompo. After finishing his matric, he couldn’t proceed to tertiary education because of financial disputes, becoming a politician. After many years of being a politician and activist, Malema chose to go back to school to improve his knowledge, skills and greater self-advocacy.
In 2010 he graduated with a two-year diploma in Youth Development through the University of South Africa (UNISA). Malema wanted more knowledge when dealing with the youths, so he opted for that diploma.
A year after graduating with a diploma, Malema registered at UNISA UNISA for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and African Languages and graduated in March 2016. He is the epitome of hard work and stops at nothing to be successful in everything he does.
In 2020 Julius Malema was on top trends after graduating with his BA in Philosophy from UNISA. He recently announced that he is studying for a Master’s degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. Mzansi praised him for being an inspiration to the youth by proving that education is essential to one’s life.
