Remember Reneilwe from the eTV soapie Rhythm City? Where on Earth did she disappear to?
If we remember well, Amo Chidi joined the soapie in 2012. She played a high-school pupil who was the niece of Bra Kop. Adjusting to her new school came with many disputes and not knowing how to fit in. Luckily for her, she met a friend called Mampho, and they grew to be successful career women together.
Break into the media industry
With the support of her parents, she tried breaking into the media industry a few times from a very tender age. When she was ten years old, she was one of the top 10 finalists in a SABC 2 singing competition. Unfortunately, she lost, but she didn’t give up. When she was a teenager, she attended dance classes where she did ballet and many more types of dance. She also won the SADTA Championship once for her hip hop dancing.
Left Rhythm City before the show was discontinued.
After staying with the soapie for over five years, she left. When she left the soapie, she didn’t die in the storyline. In the end, Reneilwe had a singing career, and she went by the name of Electra. She lost a child and grew a severe obsession with being a mother. Unfortunately, she ended up trying to steal a child. Her then-fiance Muzi took her to a psychiatric hospital.
Where is she now?
Amo Chidi is now a mother and a married woman. She is also hard at work trying to create music. One of her other projects is an upcoming food blog. As a person who loves the kitchen, she opened a blog called Plated By Mrs N. Recently, the actress ventured into being a vegetarian. She expresses how hard it is and how beneficial it is. Amo also posts a lot of images of herself enjoying family life.
Previous attempts at the music industry
As mentioned, she is currently trying to grow her singing career. When Amo acted on the eTV soapie, she performed as a singer at many events. Music producer Nutty Nys also featured her on a house song called Love For You. Amo has tried harnessing her voice to be a big star; perhaps her musical career can elevate now.
