Zikhona Bali is a successful actress famous for portraying Ziyanda in the Mfolosi Street SABC1 drama series. Not long ago, she ventured into acting, but her ability to keep Mzansi glued to their screens has made her famous. Judging from her excellent acting skills, one can never guess she did not study drama; instead, Zikhona Bali is a journalist.
Acting career
Zikhona started acting in 2015 when she bagged a gig on the SABC1 drama series Mfolosi Streets. She nailed her role to perfection, evidenced by her bagging an acting gig on Rhythm City that very same year. Her role on Rhythm City put her in the spotlight, and she was nominated for being the best supporting actress.
Ever since her role on Rhythm City, Zikhona has never shown signs of slowing down as she is now bagging international gigs. Lately, she has been killing her role as Asanda on Diep City.
On Diep, City Asanda portrays the role of a pastor’s wife who is also a gangster. Asanda is a smart, hardworking lady who plays with her three sister-friends, Lerato, Nox and Sne. Although Asanda is married to a pastor, she is involved in some bloody deals with her friends in trying to make ends meet.

The actress we all love to hate was born in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. Like other kids, she had the privilege to go to school. Asanda matriculated at Riebeek College Girl’s High School. She furthered her education at Boson Media House for a Diploma in Media Studies in Journalism.
After her graduation, she worked as a photographer, writer and marketing PR assistant. She later got a job as a photographer at SABC1, which marked the beginning of her career in acting. As Zikhona was working at SABC, she discovered she had a passion for acting. She would watch and learn how professional actors were performing while on set. With her little experience in drama, Zikhona bagged her first acting gig on Mfolosi Streets.
