More than often, Somizi showed his humour and it made him a fan favourite on the programmes and films he appeared. The media personality is a soul to be around in his best mood, but his humour almost backfired this time around. In a video taken early morning last night, Somizi intruded into other people’s gates and got himself chased by dogs.
Somizi Mhlongo is the most senior judge of Idols SA show after Randall Abrahams and Unathi Nkayi left earlier this year. His dressing sets him out of the world; he has always impressed Mzanzi on Idols SA. Last night, he must have been looking for more ways to entertain his fan base.
Dogs chased Somizi at night after opening people’s gates.
In the video posted by Vusi Nova, we see Somizi walking from gate to gate, opening people’s gates at midnight. No surprise, the dogs are always waiting for the night intruders. “Guys, plz, help me. This is the shi!t I have to put up with like at 01:40 in the morning.😄 Kuzathwa siyathakatha bawo,” captioned Vusi Nova on the video post that dogs chased Somizi. The drama made the people around him laugh and enjoy it.
Mhlongo Somizi’s career
Somizi is one of the most decorated personalities in the Mzansi entertainment business. The 49-year-old has now over three decades in the industry. His first venture came in 1987 when he was only 13 years on the film Scavengers. Somizi became a fan favourite as he featured in top films like Sarafina and Tarzan: The Epic Adventures throughout the 1990s.
His biggest deal came in 2015 when he was appointed as the judge of Idols South Africa’s 11th season. He was a host of several awards shows, particularly the South African Music Awards. He was a choreographer at the 2010 World Cup opening and closing ceremony hosted by South Africa.
Despite having a great career, there is one thing we can’t take away from the man. Somizi is a free spirit who enjoys himself. How can one intrude on people’s gates and enjoy running away from vicious dogs?.
