Soso Rungqu is a South African actress who plays the role of Detective Zanele Nyathi on Generations the Legacy. She rose to stardom on SABC 3 soap opera Isidingo, where she played opinionated welder Morongwa Kau. On Generations The Legacy, Soso Rungqu joined as a new detective who replaced Detective James (Khaya Mthembu) and quickly became Dali Malinga’s (Andile Nebulane) work, the partner.

Zanele compromised her beliefs to save Detective Malinga, who faced a critical situation on his wedding day. She finally got what she wanted, mopping after Dali’s messy and more. Zanele grew closer to and fell in secret love with journalist Lelethu, a serial player and Dali’s young brother, by saving the wedding day.
