Bold and Beautiful: Actress Luyanda Shezi ‘Lungile’ from DiepCity age stuns Mzansi
She has been making all sorts of headlines with her unmatched talent. Despite being a supporting actress Luyanda Shezi has fast become one of DiepCity’s finest when it comes to small screens. She has the plug and the bling too.
Luyanda Shezi has wowed Mzansi with her acting flair as Lungile Jele in Mzansi Magics drama series DiepCity. Despite DiepCity being around for a few months, the actress has become one of the most followed drama series characters. She stars alongside some of Mzansi’s finest, the likes of Dawn Thandeka King, who plays the on-screen character of Mashenge and Mduduzi Mabaso, who stars as Bra Elliot.
In DiepCity, she was cast as a troubled teen kidnapped and tortured. She stays in the custody of her parents and a sister who recently got released from jail. Her father tries, by all means, to make ends meet despite being unemployed; on the other hand, her mother is strict and wants the best for her daughters.
However, of interest is that the actress isn’t new to small screens. She once starred in the now Mzansi canned drama series Rhythm City.

The star actress has no acting educational background; instead, she holds a BA in Forensic Criminology and Law Degree from the University of KwaZulu Natal.
”I was always that child who would run around the house singing, dancing and acting out some imaginary circumstances; however, as I grew up, I wanted to be a lawyer.”
After graduating couldn’t ignore her craze of acting. Her guardian considered her a performer, leading her to furnish her craze with theatre plays. She has also featured in several theatre plays, including Who’s Next, written by Zukhanye Sihlobo and directed by Variety Oageng.
In the mix of things, she heard about DiepCity’s auditions and decided to audition, and the rest was history. The KwaZulu Natal born is living large and has been winning big of late.
Despite keeping her private life under wraps, Mzansi has managed to connect the dots regarding her age. It seems as if she is older than we thought. The showrunners played us when they cast her as a teen. The actress was born on 7 November 1996 in Durban, Kwa-Zulu-Natal, South Africa.
