Lizelle Tabane had her legal team serve the footballer nicknamed ‘The General’ Teko Modise to publicly retract a statement he made on an episode of Podcast and Chill. It’s currently still the 16 Days of Activism Campaign against the abuse of women and children in the country. Claims like the ones Teko is making are dampening the course.
The soccer player claims the pictures were from Lizelle’s past relationships. When they were initially dating, Teko alleged that Lizelle had very graphic images on her cellphone where she had bruises on her face, marks from strangling from her neck, and a few scratches. Still, when things were bad between them, he claims Lizelle published the very same photos to the media claiming that she suffered all those injuries from her relationship with Teko. Teko said when Lizelle accused him. It became a remarkably dark time in his life as he was slightly dependant on endorsements, so he had to be a man with a clean image to the public.
Lizelle and Teko’s relationship
The model and soccer player began their romantic relationship in the year 2013. They seemed like the perfect model and soccer player power couple with a fairytale love story. The two got engaged in the same year they got married, and Teko Modise paid Lizelle’s family lobola. In 2015, according to Lizelle, Teko started cheating on the model and assaulting her on several occasions, where she attained minor injuries. The couple called it quits in the year 2015. After their split, Teko went to Lizelle’s family to demand his lobola money back.
