Hip hop artist Jub Jub has been suspended from TV Channel Moja Love after media personality Amanda Du Pont accused him of rape. The allegations came after he conducted an interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG. Three more women have come forward to accuse the ex-convict of rape.
Jub Jub’s rape allegations.
Molemo Moaarohanye, also known as Jub Jub, is in hot water because of sexual abuse allegations. Four women have come forward and spoken about their experience of being sexually abused by the presenter. The first woman was Amanda du-Pont, who released a public statement on her Instagram clearly stating that Jub Jub raped her. The media personality Masechaba Khumalo told the public Jub Jub also raped her. The hip hop artist allegedly raped and broke Masechaba’s virginity when she was a teenager.
Bonukuhle Mtsweni, an aspiring singer and Jub Jub’s cousin, came out with a similar story. She said, “I would like to speak out too… I was 17/18… he is my cousin.” So far, these are three women sharing the same rape story about the Uyajola 9/9 presenter.
Jub Jub’s former workmate Refilwe Khumalo has accused the Hip Hop artist of making sexual advances towards her, which she declined.
Moja Love suspend Jub Jub
On many Moja Love shows, Moja Love does not condone Gender-Based Violence; the presenters reprimand it speak so much against it. They proved it with the following statement after suspending Molemo Marohanye.
“Jub Jub conducted an interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG, which aired on Channel O yesterday. Moja Love was not part of the editorial of that interview and is not associated thereof. As a channel, we condone any gender-based violence in any way and under any circumstances. As Moja Love, we have decided to suspend Jub Jub.”
Some people suggest that Jub Jub is an innocent man until there’s substantial evidence that he did indeed commit these crimes when the majority supports the women and is asking Moja Love to terminate his contract permanently.
