Masechaba Khumalo, a journalist and former Metro FM DJ and spokesperson to Minister of Sport, Arts & Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, reveals that she was raped by Molemo Maarohanye, known as Jub Jub.
She went on Twitter to support Amanda Du Pont, whose name was dragged in the mud by her alleged abuser and ex-boyfriend Jub Jub.
“I believe @Amanda du-Pond. Molemo Moaarohanye (Jub Jub) raped me too. It happened in Mama Jackie’s house in Naturena. He was my boyfriend. I was a teenager. I was a virgin.
Where it all started.
During a controversial interview between Molemo Maarohanye, also known as Jub Jub and MacG on Podcast and Chill channel, he alleged that Kelly Khumalo used muthi on him when he was dating and smashing Amanda du-Pond.
The interview trended with many people belittling Kelly and some comparing the two women’s pictures when Jub Jub was seeing them both.
Amanda du-Ponds allegations
Amanda went on Instagram sharing an emotional video of what truly transpired between her and Jub Jub. She first asked God for the strength to speak without crying, but tears flooded her eyes as soon as she spoke. Amanda said, “You didn’t smash me; you forcefully opened my legs and forced yourself on me numerous times for two years and made me believe I had no way out.” Amanda du-Pond has mentioned that she was a rape victim in a series of interviews but never named and shamed her rapist until recently. After Amanda du-Ponds video went viral, South Africans were divided, with some saying Amanda wants to bring Jub Jub down, Amanda is an actress, and asking why she’s only coming out now.

Amanda du-Pond is currently looking for a lawyer to fight Jub Jub the legal way, and she said she wants this to be a public legal battle. Many women experience rape and only talk about it in later stages because of the fear of the rapist and the fear of societal judgments.
Jub Jub is not the only male public figure to be accused of rape; Bricks is still in prison for raping his niece, a minor. Another public figure that has been accused of rape by numerous women is Dj Fresh. We will see what transpires between Jub Jub and Amanda du-Pond now going forward.
