Radio personality, DJ, music producer Sol Phenduka has only good words about trending TV presenter and Hip Hop artist Boity Thulo. Boity is making headlines after being injured in a brawl with radio personality Bujy Bikwa at Courtyard Hotel in Midrand.
The fight was caused by disagreements about Boity attempt to foretell Bujy’s future. The attempt infuriated Bujy, who poured alcohol on Boity before hitting her with a bottle injuring her face and leaving it with four cuts. Boity is a trained sangoma.
During Episode 290 of Podcast and Chill, Mac G asked Sol Phenduka about the Boity-Bujy brawl.
“It’s sensitive and very close to home. You know Bujy and his family on the podcast network, and Boity holds a special place in my heart,” Sol said.
Mac G went on, ‘Is she is one of the celebs that reached out to help you when you were down?”
“I reached out to her when I was down and out, and she helped me,” Sol clarified.
“I remember my granny had just passed away; I was a mess at that time. I was renting a small place in town, and I called her despite her previously helping me.”
Sol went on to reveal he was helped more than once by Boity.
“I told her I needed cash to look good at my granny’s funeral, and she sent me R4,000. She will always hold a special place in my heart,” he said.
“We do not know what happened when the incident occurred.”
MacG recalled meeting Boity’s manager after the fight.
“I was with her manager on Wednesday afternoon. We had lunch together talking about something else, and I did not know the incident had happened. We never brought it up, and I found out on City Press when they shared the article.”
Sol believes hitting women should never be an option.
“Boity is a strong character, and she doesn’t mince a word. She stands her ground. I hope they will reach an agreement or settle it out of court. Unfortunately, things get physical; even if it’s two men or women, violence is never an option. I tend to overthink things, and I don’t see myself hitting anyone. What if they have an underlying problem, and I hit them on the wrong spot, and they die?” Sol Asked.
Ghost lady joined the conversation suggesting Bujy should have controlled his temper to protect himself.
