Clash of personalities and egos are bound to happen in the glamorous world of showbiz, these South African celebrities have tainted relations and refused to work together in 2021.
Nomcebo Zikode and Master KG
A few months ago, the Jerusalema hitmakers were trending on social media after getting involved in a public spat over their hit song. Nomcebo Zikode and Master KG were at loggerheads overpayment for the music that has become a global sensation. Taking to social media, Nomcebo released a statement claiming she never was paid for the song, and she was not born for the profits from the music that went to a viral #jerusalemachallenge.
However, Master KG disputed his claim by saying Nomcebo was demanding a higher percentage than initially agreed. The initial agreement was 50/50. However, Nomcebo went on to change her mind and asked for 70%.
Ever since the Jerusalema royalties scandal, the two have refused to work with each other, which resulted in Nomcebo making European and African Jerusalema tours alone.
Makhadzi and King Monada
The Limpopo stars were at war with each other after the Ghanama teasers, the song they worked together. Both Makhadzi and Monada were claiming ownership of the music. However, even before the song could officially be out and hit streaming platforms. The artists were already exchanging insults in a heated argument over the ownership of the music. Makhadzi then removed King Monada’s art of the song and released it. However, the Ghanama is still making waves. King Monada went on to release the Ghanama single featuring Mukosi and named it Ghanama S Plus.
Prince Kaybee and Black Coffee
It all started as a joke when Prince Kaybee had a fiery exchange of words with Euphonik over-sharing industry with the upcoming artist. Then unexpectedly, Black Coffee entered the ring when he asked Kaybee if he thought he was a celebrity. Tweeps tagged that particular tweet as shade, and that’s when all the hell broke loose. Absolutely nothing was cool from that point.
Zahara and Zodwa Wabantu
Zodwa was invited to Lazwise’s show ‘drunk and tell the truth’. She admitted that indeed she and Zahara were in a feud. Zahara humiliated her at her birthday party, and she still hasn’t forgotten about it.
Zakes Bantwini and Black Coffee
The pair used to work together and even shared a stage to dance at one time. The artists were inseparable; however, the two stars did not reveal what happened to their friendship. But Black coffee admitted that something happened between him and Zakes, and they will not work together anytime soon.
