His newfound fame has made him one of Mzansi’s finest of late. He has been making all sorts of headlines of late, and it seems he is not holding back. In the wake of his new gig with Scandal, rumour shows that he will bow out from Gomora in style.
We can all agree that the latest episode of Gomora left us connecting the dots. Is Robert Mpisi exiting the show or what? Despite all said, it seems as if Mzansi believes Robert Mpisi’s London role on Gomora is about to end.
The development happened after Mazet spiked Don’s drink. However, he did not drink it but instead gave it to London. Minutes after drinking, London collapsed and started foaming at the mouth. At the end of the episode, London is hospitalised, but it seems unlikely that he will make it out alive. Neither Mpisi nor the drama has confirmed the actor’s exit.
Muvhango introduced the star actor as one of the newest cast members added to ETV’s drama series Scandal. Rumour has it that he will be leaving the Mzansi Magic for Scandal.

However, Scandal! made big casting reveals late last week, adding a whole new family and announcing the departure of two veteran actors. The show took to Twitter to announce that there would be six new faces on the show: Fana Moekena, Robert Mpisi, Sihle Ndaba, Silindile Nodangala, Nolwazi Ngubeni and Wendy Gumede.
However, the show also indicated that Simo Magwaza and Khulu Skenjana would be exiting the show. The new family, the Kubekas, are full of dark secrets and shady dealings. Actor-turned-politician Mokoena is back on screen as Vukile Kubeka – a charming family man with a dark side, alongside former Generations star Silindile Nodangala, who will play Fana’s wife, Nomvula Kubeka.
Ratings-wise, Scandal! is the number one show on e.tv, according to Broadcasting Research Council South Africa (BRCSA). It had over 5 million viewers for June. The top soapie in the land is SABC 1’s Uzalo, with over 8 million viewers.
However, rumour has it that the hiring and firing are to make Scanda a big name within the industry. With Rhythm City end, Scandal has been dupped to be its face; hence, the showrunners had to up their game.
Also, viewers have established that the changes in the cast are due to a new storyline. On the other hand, rumour has it that the showrunners have had a fallout with its lead actors after contracts backlashes.
