Did you know Uzalo’s Fikile and House Of Zwide’s Zanele are sisters?
No doubt House of Zwide has the plug and it has managed to wow Mzansi after replacing etv’s hit soapie Rhythm City.
After all who doesn’t love House of Zwide though. The drama series has a seasoned cast that is complimented by Mzansi’s fast-rising actors.
Amongst Mzansi’s finest is Zanele Zwide, played by Londeka Mchunu. We can all agree that she has the bling and her talent is unmatched. She is that character we all love to hate. But it’s surprising that many didn’t know that Uzalo’s Fikile and Zanele in House Of Zwide are sisters in real life.
Londeka Mchunu
Londeka is best known for her on-screen character on Isithembiso. The bubbly actress played Snegugu. Despite having no acting experience or interest her role thrust her into the limelight. However, it only managed to grace Mzansi’s screens for three seasons before it was axed. The drama series was aired on Mzansi Magic.
However, she seems to be doing well of late. Guess she is now passionate about acting as she is killing her role on House of Zwide. On House of Zwide, she plays the daughter of Faith (Winnie Ntshaba) and Funani (Vusi Kunene) on the e.tv.

Nelisa Mchunu
Nelisa has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. We can all agree that Uzalo’s is one of the most followed drama series and being on its cast comes with fame. Well, she made her first debut on the small screen when she starred on the now axed SABC3 drama series Isidingo.
Just like those before she started acting when at a very young age. A few years later she opted to study Dramatic Arts in High School. However, she later graduated from WITS University. She holds a BA in Media Studies.
“When I joined Uzalo in 2016 my family was quite excited. When Londeka joined Isithembiso a year later it became a very big thing for our family,” she says proudly. It feels good to have someone who understands you and with whom you can share challenges you face.”
They are lucky to be working in the same industry but doing their own thing. No one has compared her to her sister yet. “That would have been very frustrating,” she says.
“We are both happy for each other and are on two different paths.”
